Can it improve the usability of a GIS server-based system?

Yes. We provide dynamic, user-friendly, front-end modules to GIS server-based systems that are ideal for map users without a technical background.

Do I need a GIS server back end?

Absolutely not. TrueVector maps are complete stand-alone interactive maps designed to run on a company’s website, for either internal or external viewing. Though TrueVector maps can function as an effective front-end to GIS servers, this technology is not required to run our maps.

How does TrueVector Technologies display data online?

TrueVector Technologies creates interactive maps that visually display data over the Internet. GIS data files are processed into special XML that transforms the GIS Latitude/Longitude data into screen pixel coordinates. The output is viewed as a FLASH animation. Our deliverable is a .swf (FLASH animation). Other XML is used to customize the map to coincide with the look and feel of your website.

I have a TrueVector Technologies map but now I need to make some changes. Is that easy to do?

Certainly. We can help you make simple changes like the map’s colors, the background scale, font size and color and many other features. In addition, we can also quickly change geographic boundaries, data sources, number and types of objects plotted, as required.

Can I track information in real time?

Absolutely. Our revolutionary two-way communication module displays information in real time and can also be configured to provide alerts, such as scheduling delays, changes in data and more.

What if I need to access information in multiple ways?

We can provide a module that allows your users to “toggle” between various layers. In other words, if you need to search criteria by both ZIP Code and area code, you can easily switch back and forth and view the data in multiple ways.
My entire staff would need to use this technology – and some are far more technically advanced than others.

How much inherent knowledge would we need to use these products?
